THE
STRANGER (completed in 2005)
Produced by door D Entertainment in association with Red Wall Productions
Directed by Josh Daugherty, Written by D. Todd Deeken & Greg Lawson and
Scott Alvarez
This short
film takes on a difficult subject. After many years of estrangement, a pregnant
daughter returns home with her husband. A terrible family secret hangs heavily
over them all until a “stranger” shows up unexpectedly and provides the
catalyst for a resolution that is long overdue.
“The Stranger” was given prime screening time at its first festival,
even though it was not eligible for any awards due to arriving too late to be
considered. It was entered and accepted into the Damah Film Festival in 2006
where it made a considerable impact and was appreciated for its sensitive
approach to very delicate subject matter.
